Since we got married my wife has been practicing her cooking and she has definitely gotten better. This Pie smelled amazing!
We let the pie sit for a few minutes and then it was time to head down to the Trumbo house. We got into the car and as i got ready to start the car i look over at my wife. As if it were in slow motion, I watched helplessly as the pie slid off of her lap and onto the floor/side panel of my car. As her eyes welled up with tears i tried to act quick and salvage what was left of the pumpkin pie. It is a shame that i am not a pie surgeon because with the heat and position there was nothing i could do for the innocent pie. Megan's efforts...down the drain...
After a few minutes of despair we sucked it up and decided to try and make another one at her parents house. The day had a happy ending with a pumpkin pie intact and a lot of good food eaten. Eat safe.
